Meowry Christmas!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas. Santa was good to me and Kitty. There were some goodies in our stocking this morning. We got some really cool Angry Bird toys and lots of crunchy cat treats. I like the yellow bird and Kitty was playing with the red one. 

Well, I'm off for my evening nap!

Me & My Pagoda!

I love my pagoda scratching posting. Sometimes I run up full speed and jump onto it. Rena thinks I'm going to knock it over one day. Actually, Kitty used to hang out inside the pagoda all the time. Ever since I started going inside, Kitty won't have anything to do with it. How rude. It's not usually by this door, but this is where it goes when we have the Christmas tree set up.

Right now it's decorated with some singing animals for Christmas. There's a cow that moos, a horse that neighs, a eagle that squawks, a frog that croaks, and a pig that oinks. You can only see the cow though. I'm sitting in front of all the others. I guess I'm a little w-i-d-e, huh?

I'm a Furby!

Whatever the heck a Furby is! Oh wait ... Wiki says a Furby is this:

"A Furby is an electronic robotic toy resembling a hamster/owl-like creature which went through a period of being a "must-have" toy following its launch in the holiday season of 1998, with continual sales until 2000. Over 40 million Furbies were sold during the three years of its original production, with 1.8 million sold in 1998, and 14 million in 1999. I guess that means I'm pretty cool then!

Cat in the Hat?

Ho, Ho, Snow?

I played in the snow today! I'm usually an inside-only cat, but every now and then I get to romp in the yard with supervision. Well, today the boys went out to play in the freshly fallen snow and I got to go out for a bit, too. I looked and looked and looked for my grass that I like chewing on, but I only found a few scrawny blades sticking up. There's A LOT more snow out there now, so I bet I won't be seeing any grass for awhile. When I came back inside, I had a good bath on top of the school table. Playing in the snow can sure make a kitty wet!

Must.Wake.Up.

But as you can see ... my effort was futile. I was SOOOO tired at school today. I sat in Neil's chair, like I always do, but I couldn't keep my eyes open. Rena said I looked like I needed a cup of coffee, but I don't think so. What I needed was a nap! As you can see from the picture below, I gave up trying and curled up in a ball while Nathan drew a picture of me. School is SOOOO tiring!

Uh oh ...

I think Rena has put me on the Naughty List! Today she was reading Oliver Twist to the boys during school. I thought it would be fun to chomp on the book cover a little bit. Ooops!

Here I am with my mom and Neil, taken in front of our Christmas tree. Both Rena and Neil have a crazy hair thing going on. Not sure what that's all about. They need to be neat like me.

My Ornament!

I'm so excited! Our Christmas tree is up and it has MY ornament on it. Isn't it just the coolest thing? I've been enjoying sleeping under the tree. There's a really soft blanket under there. I just hope it doesn't get covered up with all those pesky presents soon. It's my favorite spot.

Pun'kins!

I love pun'kins. In fact, that's my nickname. Rena calls me Pun'kin all the time. She's says it's because I'm big and round. Here's a picture of me with the boy's pun'kins. I gave them a big sniff when they brought them home the other night. I can't wait for them to carve them. I'm sure I'll be right in the middle of that big ooey, gooey mess!

Below is the boy's reading chart for the year. I'm Farmer Denny and that's my Pun'kin Patch. Every time the boys read a book, they write the name of the book on a pun'kin and plant it in the patch. It has a lot of pun'kins on it already. By June, the patch should be filled with little, orange pun'kins, showing all the books they read for the school year. Do you like carving pun'kins too?

What's up your nose?

I was sleeping in the sun, minding my own business, on the floor of the classroom today. Nathan grabbed Rena's iPhone and took this picture. Talk about catching a cat off guard. Nice shot of my nostril and a bit of my tooth sticking out. I'm so tired ... school really wears me out!

Playing Outside ...

I really an indoor cat, but Rena lets me play outside sometimes. Even then, I can only do that with close supervision. There are a lot of dogs in our neighborhood and the one that lives across the road from us isn't very nice at all. I love it when the boys are back in school because they sometimes go outside for things like science experiments and such. Last year we caught a whole bunch of grasshoppers! Today I just went out and ate some grass. The picture below shows me mid-chew with my teeth sticking out. I also chased a bug across the lawn today. That was fun.

When I was a tot ...

Ugly Bird!

This is Ugly Bird! She is one of my favorite toys. Rena says she looks like some sort of Mardi Gras parade reject. I love her! I chew on her legs, kick her in the face, lick her feathers, and even take her for rides on my back. She's my favorite Ugly Bird!

I'm so famous!

I have my own Barber Shop! Every time the boys go into our little town of Bigfork, Montana they squeal when they see this sign. They did it again the other day when Rena went to the drug store, so she had to take a picture to post on my blog. 

The boys are so funny when they see my name. You should hear them when they drive by Denny's restaurants. They go absolutely nuts! 

This is Kitty ...

She lives with us too. Sometimes I call her my sister, but mostly she's like a mean, old aunt. She's a California snob and is not as nice as she looks. We get in fights every now and then. I like sitting in Nichelle's doorway so Kitty can't come out. She hates it when I do that. 

I got a beaver!

Rick, Rena, Nicole, and the boys left on Friday morning. I was so sad. I stood in the hall by Nichelle's room and cried and cried and cried. I guess everyone left to take Nicole to college, but I couldn't go. On their way back, they spent a night in Yellowstone National Park. They stayed in a tent, on the ground, with wild, scary animals all around. I'm not sure if I'd like that. I wouldn't mind camping in the trailer, but a tent would be scary. Anyway, they brought me home a beaver! Isn't he cool? I've been knocking him around the floor and chewing on the little white loop on his head. He has a big nose and big teeth -- just like me!

I've been SO busy!

It's a hard job ... but someone's gotta do it! These naps won't take themselves!

Restin' up ...

I have a big day tomorrow! I get to meet my Aunt Kaffy for the first time ever. Her real name is Kathy, but I think Kaffy sounds better. She lives in New York with her husband and a cat named Missy. She flies in tomorrow morning, so Rick & Rena will pick her up at the airport and bring her back home to me. I figured I better get rested up so I have lots of energy to play.

Look ... I'm a Lego!

Neil made ME out of Legos yesterday. Look at my big ears and bright green eyes. So cool. Maybe Lego will come out with a whole Denny series of Legos!

Lazy Days ...

I'm sorry I haven't blogged in awhile. I've been so tired. Do you see my picture above? I can't even keep my eyes open. The squirrels have been wearing me out, so maybe that's why I'm so tired. I sit by the glass doors in Rena's bedroom and watch the squirrels eat at the bird feeder. I guess they think they're birds. The past few days one of them has been coming right up to the glass and slapping it with its paws. I slapped it back a few times. One of these days I'm going to catch one of those stupid things! I wonder what a squirrel tastes like?

Rena took this other picture of us last night. She has an iPhone now, so she was playing with the camera. I kept looking at myself on the screen, which Rena thought was funny. Who is that gorgeous kitty looking at me, I wondered! I hope you're all doing purrrrrr-fect!

I wanna go camping!

Rick, Rena, and the boys are going camping tomorrow, but I have to stay home. Poo! At least I have Nichelle, Nicole, and that mean, ol' Kitty. Maybe I can go next time. I love being in the trailer.

Night, night ...

Hairball!

Not the yucky kind that you throw up -- this is just a ball of my hair. Rena just brushed me, which I LOVE! I roll all around and even let her brush my tummy. I feel five pounds lighter!

My home ...

I used to live outside. It was cold and scary. Food was really hard to find. This is where I live now. That's me below looking out the window. Or, the winder -- as I like to call it.

I saw a bat yesterday!

I wanted to catch it, but Rena wouldn't let me. She put me inside the house so she could take pictures of the creepy, little thing. Here's one where Batty shows his teeth. Scary, huh?

Rena thought it would be funny to change my picture, too. That's my super-scary-bat face. "Ahhhh, I kill you all!" What do you think? Do I look like a bat? No? Okay, so it's really my "I wanna take a nap" face.

Happy 4th of July!

As you can see, I'm all ready to celebrate the holiday. I have my American flag visor on. I hope there aren't too many boom-booms tonight. I don't like those. Have a safe 4th of July, everyone!

Sea Monkeys!

Yay! Rena finally got my Sea Monkey kit set up. Santa brought it for me for Christmas, but Rena didn't want to get it up and running until it got warmer. She put the eggs in the other day, so they should be hatching soon. I can't wait!

I haven't been up to much lately ... did eat some grass out in the weedy area of the lawn. That was fun. I hope you are all having a good weekend!
